In this gallery, you will see fun and funky paintings from my Hawaiian Olelo collection. Having lived in Hawaii for five years during my younger years, I'm still very influenced by the Hawaiian culture. The idea for this series all started with the Ohana painting. I was trying to challenge myself by incorporating food into a painting. Naturally, my small obsession with pineapples led me to my first painting. I then wrote down all the Hawaiian words I remembered and went to town from there. All of my watercolor art is done with several brands of paint including Winsor & Newton and Dr. Ph Martin's. I use micron pens to add detail and Hawaiian tribal flare.
